While in Mundgod Tibetan Settlement you must keep your PAP with you at all times in case the local authorities ask to see it.
You may be asked to show your PAP at any time and within any part of the Tibetan settlement area, including when you first drive into the settlement (the police may be checking PAP’s along the roads entering the settlement area).
Foreigners without a PAP may not be permitted by the Government of India to enter Mundgod Tibetan Settlement or attend the teachings, even if your accommodation is not within Mundgod.
